The purpose of this card is to give Henry Bancroft the Parrish’s address in Paris, on the Boulevard Haussmann, one of the grand new streets constructed in the mid–late 19th century by Baron Haussmann. In the center of Paris Boulevard Haussmann was famous for its many modern department stores and block after block of apartment buildings. Parrish decorates this side of the postcard with a squatting dancing bald-headed figure.
